San Martin of the Andes, is nailed into the Andes mountain range, to the southwest of the province of Neuquén, by National route N° 234
Located at the east of the Lácar lake, situated in a valley that is admired panoramically from the access road.
It was founded the 4th February 1898 by the Regiment 3 of Cavalry of the Division of the Andes.
His population borders with NATIONAL PARK LANIN, in fact, San Martin de los Andes is surrounded by forests of colihue, pires, rolls and cypresses. The numerous lakes, lagoons and rivers of the environs are ambient ideals for the fishing sport.

* National Park Lanín
* Viewpoint Bandurrias (into National Park Lanín): It is located to 800 meters of height. It is acceded by Provincial route N° 48.
