Pre-Hispanic locality situated into La Quebrada of Purmamarca , next to the river of the same name to the north. Purmamarca is part of the small towns that belongs to La Quebrada de Humahuaca, in the Province of Jujuy.
Purmamarca was declared National Historical Place and its name, in quechua's voice, means lion town. It was raised around the Santa Rosa's Church. Its square, is the main reunion point. Behind, the fabulous Hill of the Seven Colors.

_ Cerro de los Siete Colores -Hill of the Seven Colors- It has a great importance for the northwest argentine, famous by its colorful rocks of sedimentary origin.
_ Santa Rosa's Church (National Historical Monument) It is believed that it was constructed in 1648.
