It has its origin in the recoleto convent of franciscanos established there since XVIII century, in where the locality of San Pedro went on developing in its suroundings.

It locates in the banks of the Parana river , zone of characteristic gullies of the province of Buenos Aires .

San Pedro was known like Corner of San Pedro, in the times of the Colony, that its urban structure today still conserves some aspects of that along with the modern ones.

Vuelta de Obligado- National Historical Place ( 25 kilometers away): It takes the name of the battle which happened here on November 20 th of 1845 and in where a monument raises tribute to fallen heroes in it.
